Our Aims

• Developing and focussing new music activities
• Establishing a centre of competence for new music in the Alps Adriatic region through mediation and training
• Reaching out to other players in the region to build transnational networks
• (Re)presentation of contemporary music in its full geographic and esthetic range including the fringes towards Pop, Jazz, World Music, Folklore, in a way of mutual cultural understanding
• Making people familiar with the music of today by confronting them with major compositions of recent decades
• Serving as a catalyst for encounters of musicians, music(ology) students, composers and audience by extending traditional concert formats and establishing composer/ensemble-in-residence programmes
• Establishment of an archive / new music library and support for scholarly research
• Offering mediation and musical activities, including international interdisciplinary exchange
